Best Wearable Prints: Matthew Williamson.
Matthew Williamson’s show in London featured floral ikats, actual wearable cherry blossoms and insanely flattering wrap dresses in cuts sure to give Miss VonFurstenberg a run for her money.
Best Use of Crayola Crayon Colors: Elie Saab.
All jokes aside, Elie Saab proves again in Paris that he can do no wrong in the evening wear department.
Best Americana: Tommy Hilfiger.
While there are tons of shows from New York that stunned, no doubt, and tons of other shows that pulled off American prep, but having seen Tommy Hilfiger revive the entire brand with RTW in the past couple seasons, this collection deserves applause. Americans abroad are proud Tommy, very proud.
Best/Sexiest Use of White: Ports 1961.
White is the new black and almost every designer had at least 1 little white dress. After seeing so many, they start to all look a little too prim and proper. Enter Ports 1961 who takes the virginal trend to a dress that will actually make men look twice.
Best Use of Muted Colors: Burberry Prorsum.
Other than white, SS12 was stocked full of juicy colors: mainly pastels. Burberry stayed true to itself by using muted colors for us folks who tend to shy away from the brights.
